In my best Jaimee Foxx Voice..."Now usually I don't do this but ugghh..." lol. I must say that some people and some agreements can be very unreasonable. I've suffered long enough. If you are reading this. This is a review on the apartment complex in the title. The address is 396 E Southwest Parkway, Lewisville, TX 75067 the current property manager Elisha and Regional Manger Mary are to be nice a few 'biotches' in my personal opinion. SIMPLY DO NOT MOVE IN HERE! It is a complete waste of money! I was hoping it wouldn’t come to this. But they made me do it!! I am flabbergasted at the way I was just talked to by the Regional manager of this property owned by Spectrum properties her name is Mary. And as a matter of fact there aren’t to many nice people that work at or for this property. Daisy (On site Leasing Agent) is the only thing this property has going for it at this current moment but she's leaving in a week. Otherwise, this place is full of pest...roaches and ants! Don’t believe the online photos as NONE of these units have stainless steel appliances! I have lived here for 2 years and still reside here. In 2 years I have had nearly 25 packages stolen off my door step, I have had the pleasure of marijuana smoke lingering through my ventilation on numerous occasions. My neighbors leave trash outside their door. And o get this !!! Fitness center equipment rarely works. Pools stay dirty even during the summer. There was in fact a shooting on this very property in building 22. Also, TWO MURDERS within the last 4 months that happened right across the street from the complex at the Liquor store and Valero gas station. (You can look those up in the local news.) The visitor parking here is ridiculous especially if you live on the backside of the apartment. This area is the worst part of Lewisville and this apartment complex is the worse in this area. After signing a renewal in December the 2nd murder occurred and I couldn’t fathom living here another year because stray bullets don’t have names on them. I asked to rescind my contract that had not started yet and they have the nerve to say I need to follow the lease agreement and pay a reletting fee. What happen to providing a clean and safe environment for me to live?? What happen to honesty and looking out for the best interest of your tenants? Mary was very unreasonable. And you may ask well why did you stay 2 years...my first year I moved from Florida and the pictures online got me stuck here for the first year, when I moved nothing was like the pictures online. My water was brown for the first week. My shower tiles completely came off the wall while I was taking a shower. It took them 2 weeks to fix my shower and they expected me to not shower for 2 weeks.I had to ask for a key to another unit to shower because nobody offered ! I also had pest and appliance issues my first year. The 2nd year I was not in the financial state to move to a better area at the time so I signed a 12 month lease and fulfilled it. Now I have the means to move and just want to simply rescind a lease that has not even gone into effect yet! Clearly they want me to jump hoops. If you find yourself in this situation in Texas a great resource is Txtenants.org They offer lawyers and other helpful information. I can be found at @thomas_talks on Twitter and instagram. Ps. Don’t believe the recent 5 star reviews you may see on google ...again I’ve been living here the past 2 years and never seen any of those faces. Must be corporate trying to get some cool points. This place is like bottom of the barrel. Nobody in their right mind will give this place 5 stars! Easily 1-2 stars. I asked the property manager and Mary if I were their daughter would they want me staying here and they both said NO! They may be the cheapest but remember you get what you pay for. Plus if you go to apartment locators they will help your find something around the same price but it will be gated community, no pest and safer environment. I wouldn’t recommend this place to the homeless or my worst enemy!
"Stay ready so you don't have to get ready." Uncle Snapper told me that one day. I was probably a kid. Of course I didn't understand but I agreed. "I'm always ready Unc!" Yep, that sounds about right. Ms. Always Ready GiGi. It comes a point in all of our lives where we must consistently be on our 'A' game. It is now more important than ever to be one step ahead of your competition. In this blog I am going to give you two viable tips on how to STAY READY.
- Create a Better Morning!
Before you go to sleep at night prepare your life for the day ahead. Lay out your clothes, pack your lunch and breakfast, create a plan, create a to-do list, keep a calendar. All of these things will improve your mornings and create a great start to the day. As kids my parents told my siblings and I to always put out our clothes for the next day. It wasn't until I became an adult that I realized how important this is to start my days off right. Selecting an outfit is probably the most stressful thing to deal with in the morning when you don't have kids. If you have kids then kids is definitely more stressful but you get my point. You can change the energy in your world by creating a morning that is well put together versus waking up to chaos.
- Learn to Save money effectively!
Open a savings account, invest in a Roth IRA, get a whole life insurance policy, make sure you're properly insured, and stop living beyond your means. Most people can't stay ready because they have no control over their finances. Everything is all out of wack. We have to learn how to effectively save money without spending every dime to our names. If we learn how to save then we're always prepared for life's tragic moments. Try to keep 3 months rent in the savings, your credit card balance low and make sure you are insured properly so you don't find yourself paying for unnecessary law suits.
Now that you know how to stay ready...go make some changes in your everyday life. Yes ...RIGHT NOW DAMMIT! STAY READY SO YOU WON'T HAVE TO GET READY!
