After a night of self romance I am in a Gud mood and this woman is to blame. It begun with a steamy shower; goat milk and black soap bar and a 'Lick me All Over' sugar scrub rinse. Followed by a full body massage with the Lavender whipped body butter. The silky smooth finish it gave my skin was a very calming experience. Gud Mood Essentials has my vote and I hope they have yours too. This Florida Start up is founded by African American Queen Mrs. Tiffani Hudson. The Two time College Graduate and Tallahassee native has taught herself how to be what most are so afraid of...a boss. Tiffani has the support, encouragement and faith of her husband and children and they are the reason for her drive. Currently, based out of Jonesboro, GA, Gud Mood Essentials made its debut on March 31, 2018 featuring all HAND-MADE natural products.
The first product Tiffani ever made was whipped body butter which just so happens to be her signature product that I highly recommend. It is soft and easy to apply unlike most body butters I have used in the past. I like to save time and nobody have time to be digging for gold just trying to put on 'lotion'. This year Gud Mood Essentials has officially formed an LLC so Tiffani's goal is to make a profit in her first year of official business. I encourage you to check out her social media accounts below to support her business so she can achieve that goal.
When asked about her journey as a business owner she states "The past year has taught me so much more about myself than I would have ever imagined. I've learned that I'm stronger, and more creative than I knew. I'm also persistent, and passionate. Traits I don't feel I recognized until embarking on this journey. There are GREAT days, and there are days where I just want to cry. But I know I've found my passion because I go to bed working, and wake up thinking about getting in my lab. And having my babygirl say "Mommie you making soap?" Just makes me smile. I know she's watching and that makes anything this journey throws at me worth it."
Fueled by her passion and love of her family; Tiffani hopes to have a store front where she can sale her products and have classes where people can come learn how to make their own products. She does not wish to be on local retailer shelves because of the inconsistent market around preserving shelf life with natural products.
In a world where creating natural products is the new fad Tiffani plans to maintain being true to herself and her brand. She wants to continue to have fun, and do what flows. The majority of her products are already vegan friendly. She uses all natural butters and oils, and no use of any animal fats in any of the cold processed soaps. There is currently only one animal based product and that is the goat's milk soap.
Some advice for those trying to pursue a similar career in home based products Tiffani says, "Research, make sure you do your research. You want to make sure that you are using the right products for your skin. For example, a lot of people don't realize that Eczema sufferers can have allergies to nuts, so you want to be sure you are not putting any nut oils in your products."
